Today my first article on Digital Web Magazine was published; pretty exciting stuff! The piece is title, “Smart CSS Ain’t Always Sexy CSS”.

Really, at the core, this topic is just about realizing some of the early thoughts we had on best practice were really starting points and guides to learn and begin. Many of us are beyond the beginners state and yet we are fearful of breaking out of our early teachings that didn’t necessarily mean to constrict us the way they have.
They gave us training wheels so we could learn to ride a bike without the fear of falling; but many of us our building our own bikes and not realizing we don’t have to build them with training wheels; that was just a guide to get us started
