It is SXSW week and I am sure everyone is eagerly awaiting their flight out. However, that anticipation aside, I have something very exciting to announce myself; the launch of nclud, a creative web design agency. Co-founder, along side Alex Giron, and senior consultant for nclud, I am very pleased and very proud to announce our launch.
We’ve been extremely busy as project requests have left us with little time to devote to our own web presence – hence the slight delay. Alex first pinged me about starting an agency together prior to the new year – timing being what it was, we officially decided to found a new DC based agency on the first of February.
I am going to cut this post short and let the site speak for itself. We were up till 2am polishing the site. Check it out and let me know what you think?
Curious about the redesign? It's more of a design satire then a reflection of personal taste: Read More
Congrats! I love the simple, clean cut, elegant design. Inspiration is ncluded.
Thank you for the comment, much appreciative!
I’ll definitely have to check back later: the DNS hasn’t propagated yet (I see a placeholder page). The little snapshot does look promising, though.
If you’re so busy, will you be farming out work to others? :)
Michael, thanks for the heads up — slight hic-up with our hosting (you know how it is); all should be up and running now.
We are growing our talent base everyday; we don’t farm out work, but we do like to utilize the talent we are close with to make our projects the best they can be.
If anyone is interested in working with us on upcoming projects, feel free to contact us.
Love the “Hello!” instead of “Home”. That’s a great touch, as are the lovely URLs.
(My only hiccup is the name–I mispronouncing everything–and it reads “en clud” to me, and not “enclude” as you intend. Just me, I’m sure. It’s very good, shades of “cork’d”, so I’ll just have to get over it.)
Overall, the site is lovely and clean. I’ll have to grab the feed. And send you a note.
Michael,
I hear you about the name, but it is all intentional. We like have a name that is simple and applicable but at the same time leaves an impression and perhaps even gets you to think. I don’t know how many times I’ve had the discussion on how to pronounce “Chipotle” — but doesn’t change the fact they make a hell of an addictive burrito.
I can get into it more, but as much as I love the name, I love the logo type. It has a very elegant subliminal appeal. How the “n” is shaped like the “u” and the “cl” is similarly shaped to the “d” — gives a nice sense of balance and symmetry. Much like the subtle and often over-looked “arrow” in “FedEx”.
The FedEx arrow is all I see when I see that name.
You’re right, the logo type (I can’t recognize it–looks like Futura, but isn’t) is excellent. A good choice.
And yeah, Chi-pot-ley (Chi-po-til-ay) is good stuff.
Beautiful js on the front, could have sworn it was flash.
Thanks for the comment Phil. Alex found that nice little script, I do like its elegance!!
Congrats on launching your web design agency. My first time posting - I love your articles when ever I get a chance to browse around. Not having enough time to work on your own web presence…boy does that sound familiar.
ML,
Thanks for the comments and glad you enjoy the articles!
