Contributing to the community – blogs, photos, comments and news!

Staying active in this industry is something I view as important, fun and down-right necessary. We are a community and many of us get much value from those who contribute to it. Many of you probably started reading my blog from a community site such as CSS Beauty, Flickr or Newsvine. Now you will be able to get a little daily taste of what I read or consider valuable industry news. A few months ago I agreed to become a news contributor on CSS Drive. I thought this to be a fun little experiment to share those articles I find of interest within this tight niche community.

Most of us have our links or interests shared in one way or another. Some of us are using services such as shadows, flickr, del.icio.us or ma.gnolia.com; I decided to utilize CSS Drive as my platform of choice for sharing my industry links for two reasons. One, I find value in sites like CSS Drive and I see an opportunity to help improve or heighten the value of such a site as a benefit to myself and the entire community. The other reason is simply because CSS Drive gets more traffic than my blog or my del.icio.us – it a larger venue with a larger audience base. Well, that and George over at CSS Drive has kindly given me a little text promotion for my quantity and quality of posts.

So, for that small little audience that follows this blog – check out CSSDrive.com and see what inspires and interests me. I’d say roughly 90% of the news posts are mine and I generally keep things related to the same topics I write about – this fun little industry we are all working in.

  2. HA HA! I hope you enjoy.

  3. Well, i’m curious, i’ll go and have a look. Since i’m going to look at a website that you promoted, you should have a look at http://www.amplehosting.co.za, they have great hosting services.

  4. Fair enough. Looks interesting — I read more into it, but I must say that DreamHost hasn’t let me down yet!

  5. Well, there are many good hosting companies out there. AmpleHosting.co.za is well prices and their service is ver good - support is always available, which is important, especially seen as we’re in South Africa where most overseas companies really slow down during our daytime. So I’m happy and sugest you give them a try.

  6. Just a little update. I have been accepted into the 9rules network! So, add that to the list of places to find me!
